Keep Learning Alive K-12

Important information to have access to a list of learning activities to work at home with your child.

Hello BridgePrep Families,

During the week of March 16-20, children and families have access to a list of learning activities to work on and explore independently at home. Please see the student-friendly list of activities and lessons provided by CCPS with some BPA handwritten revisions. Our teachers and staff are working diligently to commence distance learning as soon as possible.

We will need for ALL parents to create an account on our www.BridgePrepCollier.com website where teachers' classes will be posted. Without an account students will not have access to their classes. Instructions will be provided via all three outlets, Class Dojo, Email, and BPA Collier website tomorrow. Please check these sites tomorrow at noon for instructions. Our goal is to have all 212 student accounts up and running by Sunday, March 22nd. In the event of extended school closures, we will commence live, online instruction, assignment collection and grading starting Monday, March 23rd.

In the mean time, please sit down with your child(ren) and plan a out their day to ensure that 3.5 hours a day is designated for exploring and studying Reading (1 hour), Math (1 hour), Science (30 minutes) and Social Studies (30 minutes). We also encourage you to create time for 30 minutes of physical activities/education (P.E.) and the creative arts on an alternating daily schedule. Starting Wednesday, March 18, teachers will be calling individual families to ensure and document that home learning is indeed taking place and to provide guidance on how to get started with student accounts. This documentation process will ensure that students receive credit for their grade level instructional hours.

Also, on March 13 we sent out a survey requesting information about your home internet access and technology availability. Thank you to all 98 families who responded. It is VERY, VERY important that all families respond. This will ensure that we can provide resources and support and the best at home learning experience for every family. Please complete the survey linked below.

We, thank you for your collaboration!
